Corporal Stephen Maina Nderitu, who was a key witness in the controversial Albert Ojwang’ murder case, collapsed at home and died on Monday after leaving work.
The police officer attached to Central Police Station, Nairobi in a testimony recorded on May 18, 2025, outlined sensitive details about the chain of accountability in the case.
Postmortem report showed that Maina died from acute ulcers, cardiac arrest and depression.
The family accepted the report and will move to admit the deceased’s statement into evidence.
His burial is set for Friday, September 18, 2026.
