Discounted gas price to grace Ramadhan

National Oil has announced discounted price offering of its cooking gas and accessories during this holy season of Ramadhan.

Gas refills of the SupaGas brand will now retail at Kshs. 2,420 and Kshs. 1,175 for the 13Kg and 6Kg respectively while a package consisting of a 13kg cylinder, gas, hose and regulator goes for Kshs. 7,490 in Nairobi.

A complete 6kg cooking unit comprising of cylinder, gas, burner and grill is priced at Kshs. 5,740 in Nairobi. Prices for other regions of the country have also been adjusted accordingly.

The discounted prices are available to cash and SupaCard customers at all National Oil petrol stations and authorized dealers countrywide. National Oil has a total of 95 service stations spread across the country.

The cooking gas price offer by National Oil comes at a time when Kenyans are experiencing a general rise in the cost of basic commodities and is part of the ongoing government efforts to enhance the uptake of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as a cheaper and environmentally clean source of domestic energy.

The offer will run during the Ramadhan period Kenyans and the Kenyan economy during this holy period of Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, National Oil will undertake a countrywide roll-out of its 3kg gas cylinder named Supa Kadogo in August 2012.
