Power management company Eaton has signed a partnership with Vanguard Powersol Ltd (VLP) aimed at sustaining distribution of products and services in power protection systems, surveillance technology and IT infrastructure.

The deal will see Vanguard Powersol provide Eaton’s Power Quality range of products and solutions across the Kenyan market.  Eaton is in its 12th year of operation in East Africa, providing customers with energy-efficient solutions and advises them on how to effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficiently and sustainable.

“Eaton is the only company providing cross-business solutions in key industry segments, and collaborating with VPL will allow us to showcase our local expertise in meeting customer needs across Africa,” said Shane Kilfoil, Managing Director, Eaton Africa.

With the new deal, customers in Kenya will now have easy access to Eaton power products and management solutions that include legacy brands: Westinghouse, BILL, MEM, Cutler-Hammer, Power ware, MGE and Moeller.

Their products and services including power protection, data centre infrastructure, data centre cooling, inverter solutions, voice over IP solutions and IP CCTV solutions, which are well-trusted and sold across the country. In addition to these services, VPL will now be an accredited distributor of Eaton’s 1 and 3 Phase Premium and Essential Range UPS’.

In Africa Eaton  offers all sizes of businesses, safe, reliable and globally accredited materials that can be customized to meet specific business requirements, and an expanded offering will now be available in Kenya thanks to Eaton’s partnership with VPL.

The deal is estimated to raise Ksh70 million revenue by the end of this year, the first of its operations. “As a frontline provider of Power Quality products in Kenya, Vanguard is pleased to partner with one of the world’s respected energy management companies. This partnership will no doubt catalyze sustainable growth in the power sector in line with Kenya’s transformation agenda,” added Mr Bachu Patel, the chairman of Vanguard Group.

Eaton in East Africa operates independently through distributors, resellers & retailers, most of who are Kenyan; we act as a catalyst towards increasing employment opportunities.
