As the world gears up for the World International Women’s Day, Kilimall has come up with an online campaign dubbed #BeBoldwithKilimall aimed to help women achieve their dreams in a new era of online shopping. Up until 8th March 2017, the vibrant online marketplace will be encouraging women to share their dreams, however bold they may seem, with the rest of Kenyans. Kilimall continues giving back to its customers and this season the company will be enabling bold women to achieve their dreams and stand boldly in whatever circumstances. This year’s universal theme for the Women’s Day is Be Bold For Change calling on women to forge a better working world – a more inclusive, gender equal world.

The campaign runs from the 27th to 10th of March 2017 and will take place both on the Kilimall website and on social media. On-site, Kilimall(http://www.kilimall.co.ke) will be offering discounts of up to 50% for select products that appeal to women from all spectres of life including Fashion, Home & Living, Electronics, Smartphones and Accessories and Bags among others. Meanwhile, a ladies’ competition will be taking place across the company’s social media channels where women will share their dreams and Kilimall will be selecting a few winners to reward with the realisation of their stated dreams.

Speaking about the campaign, Kilimall Kenya MD Victor Ma said this is an opportunity for the company to gain the confidence of women as it clamours to make e-commerce a lifestyle in Kenya, hence the creation of a woman-specific campaign.

“We are not lost to the fact that women in Kenya and all over the world go through several challenges. This International Women’s Day, we are encouraging women to boldly stand up to these challenges and achieve their dreams. So we are asking all women, whether professional women, family women, girls in colleges or women in sports to join us in creating a bolder woman,” he added.

On her part, Kilimall Marketing Manager Gladys Liu asked women to come out in large numbers to speak their dreams out on social media using the hashtag #BeBoldwithKilimall. Noting that Kilimall has the largest variety in e-commerce in Kenya with the advent of Global Shipping  where local customers can order products for all over the world and have them delivered by Kilimall, she challenged women to try out the online option for their shopping.

The campaign went live on 27th February 2017 on the company’s social media accounts and ladies will have an opportunity to share their dreams and showcase their boldness to the world. The participants with the top 10 most compelling posts as measured by the number of likes will be entered into a lucky draw and Kilimall will help fulfil the dream of the lucky winner. The winner of the social media competition will be announced on the International Women’s Day.
