Suspended Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu last evening presented herself to the Ethics and Anti-********** Commission (EACC) to avoid being ********, just a few **urs after Director of Public ***********s Keriako Tobiko approved charges against her for obstructing investigations into the Ksh8 b***ion Karen land grabbing.
This means she faces a lesser offence of blocking investigation instead of ********** as earlier alleged by EACC. Mr Tobiko’s clearance means Ngilu w*** be charged possibly tomorrow or early next week, becoming the second minister in the Jubilee government to be prosecuted over ***** of office. Transport and Infrastructure CS Michael Kamau w**se the case is already in court for altering a road contract.
“Let me make it clear that I am not facing ********** charges. I w*** be in court for obstructing investigations,” said Mrs Ngilu at Integrity Centre.

Mrs Ngilu faces charges of obstructing investigations into the alleged grabbing of 134.4 acres in Karen, report***y, by in***ential personalities. After spending about two **urs with EACC detectives w** took her fingerprints, she was released on a cash bail of Ksh50,000.
Mr Tobiko said EACC had absolved Ngilu of involvement in the *****ulent transactions, but recommended her *********** for ordering her officers to with**ld some do***ents from EACC.
The commission had been investigating three *********** against Ngilu, including her alleged involvement in the Waitiki farm saga and another parcel of land on State **use Crescent.
