Toyota launches stylish 4th Generation RAV4

Automobile car retailer Toyota Kenya has launched the fourth Toyota RAV 4 into the Kenyan market.  The stylish fourth generation RAV 4 has enhanced features that make the user experience more enjoyable.

The launch of the fourth generation RAV4 comes at a time when the Kenyan market is inclining towards the purchase of new cars as compared to what has previously been the trend with imported pre-used cars. This is after Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich introduced an excise Duty levy of up to Ksh200,000, thereby making  used cars more expensive.

Speaking during the launch at on Tuesday, Toyota Kenya Managing Director Sachio Yotsukura said that the new generation RAV4 puts technology into practice thereby refining its practicality. “The all-new 2016 RAV4 as you have will all see here today captures the spirit of freedom that began with the original RAV4, yet breaks new ground in refinement, practicality and technology,” said Yotsukura.

It offers new benchmarks in exterior and interior styling and features, a combination of power, driver comfort, fuel efficiency, superior technology, safety features, with spacious rear seat and a large cargo space. With the 4×2 CVT retailing at 4 million shillings, the new Rav4 is available in 4 variants to cater for various customer needs in the Kenyan market. The retail-selling price is exclusive of VAT.

Toyota Kenya says it is determined to change the SUV landscape in Kenya, based on increasing customer demand for new SUV’s, boasting better technology and increased driver comfort. The RAV 4 is the first vehicle to be sold in Kenya under the crossover SUV category and has been in the market for over 20 years.

The 2016 Rav4 is available in nine colors, Super White, White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Black Mica, Red Mica Metallic, Bronze mica Metallic, Dark Brown Metallic, and Orange Metallic. “What we can promise our RAV 4 customers is a consistent enjoyable and stable driving along with all –round practicality of its compact size,” said Mary Chege, Marketing Director, Toyota Kenya.
