Passenger Dies on Kenya Airways Flight to Lagos

Kenya Airways has said a passenger died on board their flight from Nairobi to Lagos on Tuesday, October 7, a few minutes before landing.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the national carrier said the incident occurred at around 21:20 hours, with its crew administering first aid and following emergency procedures.

“One of our passengers was found to be unresponsive approximately 20 minutes before landing in Lagos,” the airline said.

It added that upon landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 9:41 p.m., medical personnel examined the passenger and confirmed that the “passenger had passed away.”
