Full version of the 2015/16 Budget Speech

The 2015/16 budget has just been read.

It provides different measures the government seeks to take to raise revenues including increasing various taxes and reducing or removing others. It is a balanced budget that seeks to stimulate nearly all sectors of the economic.

He says the budget has identified six key areas: Improving security, enhancing infrastructure, agriculture, tapping youth/women/PWDs talent, improving education & health and facilitating counties.

In his Budget Speech, he says e-procurement will be rolle out to all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to create calue for money and enhance service delivery. He said leasing of depreciating assets will be extended to MDAs as well.
