Medi Hill Hospital has waived Ksh2 million hospital bill for desperate father who has offered to sell his kidney to get his son’s body released from the hospital’s mortuary over a Ksh4 million bill.

The waiver  from the initial Ksh4 million followed a letter written to the hospital management by Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong.

Joseph Ofisi, 67, from Segero village in Nambale sub county said the management accepted the Governor’s request but said they could waive only Ksh2 million, thus leaving a balance of a similar amount which must be paid before the body is released.

Mr Ofisi said the kind gesture by the governor was commendable but was unable to get the required amount, thus the offer to sell his kidney is still on.
