Tigania West CID boss James Oludhe was today arrested by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers for allegedly soliciting a Ksh35,000 bribe from a teacher.
Mr Stanley Mwiti, who had a court case, told EACC officers the suspect asked for the bribe so he doesn’t write a letter of interdiction on him to be forwarded to the Teachers Service Commission, Nation reports.
Mr Mwiti is said to have reported the matter to the EACC on Friday and recorded a statement on Saturday before recording his conversation with Mr Oludhe. EACC upper eastern boss Ignatius Wekesa said the suspect was being questioned.

“It is true we have made the arrest and we are currently interrogating him,” he said in a telephone interview.
Mr Oludhe was taken to the Isiolo EACC office, where he recorded a statement for the better part of Monday.
