All State Insurance Agency is the highest broker and contributor to Resolution Insurance sales in 2014. The dealer pipped opponents to scoop the top prize on Monday evening at an award gala dinner held in Nairobi.
Resolution Insurance has been running the award ceremony for three years since it received a certificate of registration from the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) to operate general insurance. It uses the awards to recognise the best in class in terms of premium contribution to the insurer.
The winner overcame competition from other brokers such as TrustMark Insurance Brokers and Kisima Medical and General Insurance Agency who were ranked second and third respectively. Nyadwe Insurance brokers was also honoured for improving Resolution Insurance’s sales revenue.
“Our aim is to recognise top performers in our company to encourage competition and better management of insurance in the country,” noted Resolution Insurance CEO Peter Nduati, adding that the brokers have helped the company in its expansion plan, which began as a medical insurer before receiving a nod from IRA to run general insurance policies.
“Expansion of our business would not have been possible without the support of our brokers and agents,” he said.
Resolution Insurance has branches in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and plans are afoot to open more branches in the other Eastern African region.
