Uhuru signs off Ksh70bn to be spent in 3 days

President Uhuru Kenyatta has signed into law the Supplementary Appropriation (2) Bill, 2015.

The Supplementary Appropriation (2) Act, 2015 allows the release of Ksh70.4 billion from the Consolidated Fund to be used by the Government in fulfilling its financial obligations for the remaining part of the financial year ending June 30.

The Act shows the amount each ministry has been allocated for recurrent and development expenditure for the remaining period of the financial year.

The signing of the Bill at State House, Nairobi, was witnessed by National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich.
