The new promotion is designed for consumers who buy drinks to enjoy them at destinations other than pubs or restaurants.

East African Breweries Limited (EABL) has unveiled a consumer promotion for all its beer, ready-to-drink and spirits brands. The promotion covers off-trade outlets, which entail retail outlets other than pubs, bars and restaurants such as supermarket and convenient stores.

The eight-week promotion, dubbed ‘Red Dot’, will see shoppers who buy EABL brands win prizes worth over Ksh10 million on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

“This is the second time we are having the Red Dot consumer promotion, following the great success of the first edition that run over December 2015,” said Mr Andrew Kilonzo, Premium Trade Sales Director at KBL. “The new and improved promotion is designed for consumers who buy our products at retail outlets, with a view to enjoying them at destinations other than pubs or restaurants.”

To participate, shoppers who purchase products with the red dot sticker will have to scratch to reveal a seven-character code, which they will send via SMS to 20247.

The grand prize in the promotion, which started on 27th February 2017 and runs for eight weeks, is a brand new BMW X1. Other wins include cash, home theatres and Smart TVs and shopping vouchers.

The promotion has partnered with off-trade outlets including Nakumatt, Chandarana, Ukwala, Uchumi, GAME, Quickmatt and Carrefour. The promotion also covers various wines and spirits shops, participating fuel forecourt convenience stores and shops among others.
