With just days before the Catholic head jets into the country, Kenyans are a jovial lot in anticipation of his visit. A recent research done by Infotrak shows that Kenyans want Pope Francis to address peaceful co-existence, corruption and tribalism among other issues.
Infotrak reports that among the 777 Kenyans interviewed between October 3rd and November 20th, 65 percent of would like Pope Francis to preach for peaceful co-existence among Kenyan communities. Corruption has been the talk of town in recent times with both national and county governments being spotlighted. However, only 24 per cent of those interviewed think the Holy Father should address corruption.

“What message do you think the Pope should give Kenyans?” was the question asked by Infotrak. The research institute reports that another 20 per cent of those interviewed named tribalism. Respect for human rights gathered 13 per cent response.
Pope Francis is expected in the country on Wednesday the 25th of November, making his maiden trip to Africa and Kenya. Even though Pope John Paul had visited Kenya a decade ago. Other issues Kenyans want addressed include immorality, social justice accountability and good leadership.
