The Star rectifies ‘pubic’ ad howler

The Star newspaper has today re-run a make-good Higher Educations Loans Board (HELB) advert that had the “pubic” howler yesterday and got the spelling of ‘public’ right this time round.

(see link https://businesstoday.co.ke/news/2012/03/8/can-‘pubic’-servants-please-stand)

The HELB quarter page advert appearing in yesterday’s edition of the Star newspaper on page 8 was a thriller of a typo. The subject line of the advertisement announcing the creation of a revolving fund to help public servants access loans for high education read: “NOTICE TO ALL PUBIC SERVANTS”.

Today, it reads well. Have a watchful day.
