Tuskys has been crowned the Best Consumer Electronics Partner in East and Central Africa by Samsung during the 8th Annual Samsung Africa Forum held in Cape Town, South Africa. The chain becomes the first retail in the region to scoop such an award.

It was awarded at a three-day event held at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) themed ‘One Pride’.  Samsung is a leader in a wide range of electronics including TVs, smartphones, wearable devices, tablets, cameras, digital appliances, medical equipment, network systems, and semiconductor and LED solutions, a huge junk of which are stocked and sold in Tuskys’ 55 branches countrywide.

Speaking in South Africa as he received the award, Tuskys CEO Dan Githua dedicated the award to Tuskys staff particularly in the electronics section whose synergy, he said, had led the brand to greater heights.

“This goes to all our staff at Tuskys,” he said. “They remain our greatest strength and pillar. I would also like to thank Samsung for this recognition and for being our great business partner. Thank you for staying ahead in innovation and for timely responding to changing consumer trends, which has led to high level customer satisfaction in our stores.”

Mr Githua said Tuskys will remain committed to deepening partnerships with its stakeholders, including suppliers. “Consumers now see Tuskys as the preferred stockists of high quality electronics brands such as Samsung, and we strive to remain in the forefront in updating new models for our customers when they get released,” Mr said Githua.

The President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Africa Office YooYoung Kim said the electronics giant values building strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders, in order to further grow the brand. “This Forum affords us the opportunity to share our vision, commitment and world-class innovations in technology and design with our partners across the region. More crucially, it allows us to demonstrate that together, we can move forward with pride, passion and profitability,” he added.

Tuskys was also recently named a Top 20 Superbrand in the region in the bi-annual Superbrands East Africa survey.
