Salon Makeover for Venus Promotion Winner

NAIROBI, Kenya


PZ Cussons East Africa has rewarded various winners of the Venus ‘Rembesha Msupa Ushinde’ promotion with prizes worth over Kshs1 million. The overall winner was Agnes Kemunto Ngadi, a salonist from Kayole, who received a salon makeover worth KSh500,000. The salon makeover comprises of high-end salon equipment such as shampoo units, wall-mounted driers, hydraulic styling chairs and working stations amongst other essential work tools.

Presenting the awards, PZ Cussons East Africa Managing Director Dimitris Kostianis said the promotion, which targeted hairdressers, had not only increased the uptake of Venus hair care products in the local market, but also positively changed lives through the various prizes. It has also enhanced the brand’s engagement with hairdressers who are key influencers of brand choice in this multi-billion category.

“The promotion has connected well with the target market as shown by the many entries. This sets the stage for launch of bigger, better and innovative initiatives and products soon, which will solidify our position in the market,’’ he said. The second prize of a salon makeover worth Sh250,000 went to Susan Irungu of Githurai while Cecilia Wambui of Kiambu won a cash award of KSh100,000. Other prizes included cash awards of Kshs 50,000, wall-mounted driers each worth Kshs 25,000 and assorted Venus products.

Ms Agnes Kemunto Ngadi said the salon makeover will immensely assist her to expand her salon business. “It’s a great boost for my business. I will be able to deliver better services to my customers, attract more clients and thus increase my revenues. I owe this to Venus hair care,” she said. The promotion was launched on December 2, 2013 and ended on February 28, 2014.
