With less than two weeks before US president Barack Obama jets into the country, tension is already brewing over his pro-gay stance.

A Kenyan party today vowed to hold a protest on the 22nd and 23rd of July this month against what they term homosexuality in Nairobi. Mr Obama is jetting in on July 24.

In a letter addressed to the Administration Police Commandant, Republican Liberty Party, Mr Kidala Vincent, expressed his disappointment at the US president’s “open and aggressive support” for homosexuality. He said that close to 5,000 naked men and women will march in the streets of Nairobi to show their opposition to gayism.

The demonstration will start from freedom corner at Uhuru Park in Nairobi. Many political leaders have also condemned president Obama’s stand on homosexuality. The party claims to be based on pillars of democracy and social justice.
