Lucy Kibaki dies at London hospital

Former First lady Lucy Kibaki is dead.

The wife to former President MWai Kibaki died today morning while undergoing treatment abroad where she was flown last week after developing complications at Nairobi Hospital.

Lucy Kibaki has been out of public limelight for five years and there had been speculation about her health and life until she was recently admitted to Nairobi hospital.

A statement by President Uhuru Kenyatta stated that Mrs Kibaki died while being treated at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.
