Former news anchor Catherine Kasavuli is set to make a come on television. Ms Kasavuli, one of the longest serving newsreaders in Kenya’s television industry, is working on a programme that will be aired on one of the big TV stations.

Talking on KTN Friday briefing prime time programme, Ms Kasavuli, who now offers broadcast training at her Kasavuli Media Group, said: “I will be back soon. But I can’t give more details now.”

Ms Kasavuli worked for KTN and became the brand identity of its prime time news bulletin with her signature tone and vibrant personality. She later moved to Citizen TV, where she was relegated to backbench corporate communications, before retiring from news anchoring.

Reading a news clip on KTN during the talkshow, Ms Kasavuli showed she is still a force to reckon with. Even with age catching up, she still retains her radiant face and lively voice.
