Infinix unveils ‘killer’ smartphone in Kenyan market

Smartphone and tablet manufacturer Infinix Mobility and online store jumia.co.ke  have launched a premium smartphone device  in the Kenyan market.

This follows the successful launch of the revolutionary Infinix Hot Note, which continues to gain popularity among users owing to its long-lasting battery, the Infinix X509 (Zero2) promises an even better experience, coupled with a classy design.

The Zero2 device is set to fulfil aspirations of young entrepreneurs, professionals and even students looking to enjoy quality by delivering great functionality and style at an incredibly affordable price.

The Infinix X509 device has been carefully designed to meet both the social and productivity needs of this market segment and further sets out to benchmark the quality of affordable, yet trendy, smartphones available in the Kenyan market.

Infinix Mobility Head of Marketing Peter Zhou said the company is committed to providing affordable devices through the factory-to-consumer model, which reduces channel costs hence making the devices more affordable. “Putting a quality smartphone in the hands of every deserving user is our key motivation.  We are powerfully improving lives by providing devices that enhance productivity,” said Mr Zhou.

The Infinix Zero2 is equipped with exciting specifications including Super Amoled HD screen, Corning gorilla glass 3 with 0.55mm thickness, which enhances touch screen fluidity, as well as a 2GB RAM and Octa Core 2.0 GHz processor.

The phone’s screen measures 5.0” with a HD Samsung super Amoled Screen Resolution, 165k colours displayed, 1280 x 720 HD resolution and a dimensions measuring 6.7 mm thickness –118g which makes it light and easy to handle.

Other features of the phone include a 13MP + 5 MP camera with 85 degree wider angle and F 2.0 aperture which admits more light into the sensor to make for sharp and bright pictures.
The X509 will be available at the start through e-commerce website http://www.jumia.co.ke from July 13 2015 and will retail at an introductory price of Ksh19, 999.
