Two employees of Wells Fargo Company have vanished with more than Ksh94 million cash in transit. According to police sources, the Ksh94,918,750 that has been collected from Quickmart supermarket.

A police report on Monday stated that the company’s driver Anthony Ndiuki, and his colleague, Charles Mugetha left the company’s offices in South C at around 8.30 a.m.

The two, who were on board the company’s vehicle, left without police escort, as is the norm, with the Ksh94.9 million.

The money was from the weekend sales of Quickmart supermarkets and destined for Family Bank Kenyatta Avenue branch.

The Wells Fargo branded motor vehicle was found abandoned at Dafam area South C, next to the southern bypass.  The DCIO from Lang’ata is investigating the issue, and the scene was visited by the OCS.
