Daily Nation property and business writer Paul Letiwa will be reporting from Samburu County in a move that is aimed at improving the newspapers’ coverage in the vast region.  Mr Letiwa will replace Johnston Keti who resigned last week.

Mr Letiwa has been writing feature articles for Daily Nation in Nairobi since 2009, majoring in finance, property and social affairs. In 2010, he won the Nation Media Group Journalist of The Year Award.

“I think he is the right reporter to work from Samburu County. He was born there and many people in the company believe he understand the region well and can give better coverage,” said an editor at the Daily Nation.

Mr Letiwa worked for KBC before joining Nation Media Group. He started working for Daily Nation in 2008 as a Swahili reporter for Taifa Leo before shifting into business. He took a one year break from reporting but his articles started appearing again in 2014.
