Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) uses an assessment tool known as Organizational Performance Index (OPI) to rate the performance of businesses on a scale of one to 10, with 10 as the highest score. The main objective of the awards is primarily to assess the performance of companies in certain areas with an aim of benchmarking them against global business performance to boost competitiveness and excellence.
This year saw 14 organizations being recognized having completed the vetting process. The event was graced by the Information Communications and Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru, who said the country was rapidly embracing the penetration of technology and is moving in the right direction.
