The Court of Appeal has ordered the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to implement the 50-60 pay rise awarded to teachers pending the hearing of the case it has filed against the increment.

The judges warned TSC that if does not comply with the oder, the commission’s appeal would be dismissed with costs. This means teachers will start enjoying the 50-60% pay hike that the Industrial Court awarded them a month ago from August, which will be backdated to July 2013.
