APA offers online marine insurance

APA Insurance, a subsidiary of Apollo Investments, has incorporated its Marine Insurance Cargo offering with the Kenya Trade Network Agency (KENTRADE) National Electronic Single Window System (Kenya TradeNet System) to provide online marine insurance.  This is in line with the Insurance Act CAP 48 Section 20 which commenced on 1 January 2017.

The Apollo Group CEO, Ashok Shah said that the initial implementation of Kenya TradeNet System will provide an effective online access to all classes of Marine Cargo Insurance and competitive premiums from APA Insurance, which has over 100 years of combined experience in the Marine Insurance business..

“This online system will open a new exciting chapter for our Marine Insurance business,” said Mr. Shah.  “We are focused on ways in which new ideas, from a variety of fields, can bring value to our customers.   APA’s customers can be guaranteed competitive prices, fast and efficient pre and after sales service online.”

APA Insurance underwrites General Insurance risks such as Fire, Aviation, Personal Accident, Motor, Liability, Agriculture, Property, and Micro Insurance.  Marine Insurance is an important business line for APA, being one of the largest Marine Insurers in East Africa.
