Kempinski scoops three continental hotel awards

Villa Rosa Kempinski and Olare Mara Kempinski have won three awards at the continental level at the recently concluded World Luxury Hotel Awards Gala Ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa.

Olare Mara Kempinski in the Masai Mara won in two categories – the Luxury Tented Safari Camp and Luxury Wildlife Resort 2014 – while Villa Rosa Kempinksi was awarded the Luxury City Hotel 2014. The World Luxury Hotel Awards is a recognised global organisation providing luxury hotels with recognition for thier world-class facilities and service excellence provided to guests. With votes cast by hotel guests, the aim of the awards is to encourage and raise service standards within the luxury hotel industry.

“Our guests continue to recognise us on the world map of luxury. We thank them for their support and we will continue to aim for nothing short of the best for the kind people who expect excellence and value individuality,” remarked Manish Nambiar, the hotel’s general manager.

Olare Mara Kempinski is famous for blending luxury with the wild of the Kenyan savannah. Each of the 12 tents is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris with four-poster or twin beds, outdoor and indoor showers with oversized, old-fashioned clawfoot bathtubs and a teak deck spread over 80 sq m (861.1 sq ft).One of the tents features its own plunge pool and its location is ideal for game drives, night safaris, escorted bird, game and nature walks, Masai village visits, bush breakfasts at the hippo pool or early morning balloon safaris over the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Villa Rosa Kempinksi, located along Waiyaki Way, offers a fusion of European luxury and Kenyan hospitality. With its iconic architecture, the hotel is favourably positioned for business as well as leisure. It also features state-of-the-art conference facilities and five restaurants.
