StarTimes HD decoder delivers extra cool features

StarTimes, the pay-tv service provider, recently introduced a high definition (HD) decoder in the Kenyan market that offers high quality images and sound.

The HD decoder is retailing at Ksh999 upon subscribing to a bouquet of choice at Ksh1,500 bringing the total spend to Ksh2,499, which is worth more than value for money as the signal is excellent pictures and sound superb.

The beauty about the purchase price is that with the Ksh1,500 subscription you can activate a bouquet of choice with the option of 10 months Nyota bouquet worth 149 per month, three months basic bouquet worth Ksh500 per month, 45 days classic bouquet worth Ksh999 per month or one month Unique bouquet.

The HD decoder, equally sleek and stylish, is loaded with an advanced user-friendly interface. It is slimmer and lighter than the current decoders in the market adding to its appealing and distinguished features. It is fitted with new hardware platform, user interface and a superior mechanical design.

Besides, it has a high definition play back, HDMI output, USB port and two optional colour themes: blue and orange. The two HD channels ready for viewership are Bollywood HD, the first and only Bollywood pure HD movies channel in the world with huge selective movie library. NBA TV is another HD channel, which offers close to 50 televised NBA games.

StarTimes has set up an elaborate after sales service having established a 24- hour call centre and a door to door technical service. “The door to door technicians can visit a subscriber at home and fix particular challenge they are facing be it signal or installation related free of charge,” the company says.

The StarTimes digital television signal transmission has so far covered over 70% of the country including Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Eldoret, Nyeri, Kakamega, Kisii, Nyahururu, Kericho, Bungoma, Meru, Nakuru, Narok, Malindi and Webuye.
