Six areas the budget promises to fix

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich is now reading the Budget Statement for 2015/16 in Parliament. He says the budget has identified six key areas and increased security budget by Ksh27.9 billion.

The six areas are: Improving security, enhancing infrastructure, agriculture, tapping youth/women/PWDs talent, improving education & health and facilitating counties.

In his Budget Speech, he says e-procurement will be rolle out to all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to create calue for money and enhance service delivery. He said leasing of depreciating assets will be extended to MDAs as well.

He says this is part of the Public Finance Management reforms to strengthen oversight and improve service delivery while promoting good governance.
