A school boy was Monday crushed to death by a van that had just dropped him home in a bizarre accident at Nyayo estate in Embakasi, Nairobi.

The accident happened as the driver reversed the van after he had dropped off the three-year-old child in the afternoon, the Standard reports. It was a sombre mood after the driver and the residents learnt of the death of Master Fredrick Onyango who was in baby class at a local school.

The driver said he had dropped the child near his residence and was reversing to leave when the accident occured. The van ran over the child killing him on the spot. Police were later called to the scene and carried the body to the mortuary.
