Samsung Electronics East Africa has launched the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in the Kenyan market. The company says the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are designed to overcome everyday obstacles and literally solve societal problems.
Speaking during the event held at Dellite Centre, Samsung East Africa’s Vice President Jung Hyun Park said the new designs are meant to empower consumers with transformative technology. “We believe in a wolrd that is brighter, sharper, more convenient and more fun. We strive to deliver on that vision with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge by marrying elegant design with functionality,” he said.
The revolutionary dual pixel technology that accompanies the new S7 and S7 edge helps the consumer to have a variety of picture moments including the ability to capture in darkness when light rays are low.
During the event, Samsung also shocked its customers by revealing that the new brand is water proof. This would, therefore, solve the recurrent problems of mobile phones occasionally falling in water or simply getting rained on rendering them disfunctional.
Samsung S7 and the S7 edge can practically stay in water for as long as one hour with the user attracted to take ‘aquatic selfies.’ They both have increased utility with IP68 water and dust resistance. “We empower our consumers with technology to help them get more out of life and will continue to push the frontier of what is possible,” added Hyun Park.
The hybrid simcard tray enables users to insert a microSD card for up to 200GB of additional storage. Consumers who buy the mobile phones from authorised Samsung dealers countrywide get a two-year warranty.
