A trader at Nairobi’s Nyamakima has joined the millionaire club after winning Ksh1 million in the ongoing KachingChing na Coke campaign.

Ms Pamela Kageni, a retailer in plumbing supplies, discovered the promotion while following updates on social media.

“I was catching up on updates on Facebook when I saw a post about the KachingChing na Coke promotion. Initially, I was skeptical, but I decided to check the authenticity of the post. Once I confirmed it was genuine, I began participating,” Ms Kageni recounted.

She participated 31 times before receiving a life-changing call from Coca-Cola’s representative.

“I received a call informing me that I had won Kshh1,000,000. At first, I couldn’t believe it, but eventually, it sank in. That night, I couldn’t sleep at all. It felt like divine intervention because I had been struggling in Nyamakima,” she said.

“I will use part of the money to pay school fees for my children, and the rest I will invest to boost my business. I believe this will help my business grow, and it will always remind me that Coca-Cola changed my life.”

Ms. Kageni is among over 1.3 million Kenyans who have so far won a total of Ksh122 million in Coca-Cola’s KachingChing na Coke promotion, which started in May. The #KachingChingnaCoke promotion aims to distribute Ksh 163 million to over 2 million winners by the end of the campaign in August.

“The main reason behind the KachingChing na Coke promotion is to directly impact our consumers considering the current economic challenges. We know this will transform the lives of our customers,” said Shilah Shitanda, Regional Trade Marketing Manager, Nairobi.

“Since the promotion started, we have seen an increase in the consumption of our various packs that are participating: 200ml, 300ml, and 500ml returnable glass bottles. We look forward to even higher consumption of these packs.”

To participate, consumers are required to purchase Coca-Cola beverages in 200ml, 300ml, and 500ml returnable glass bottles and check under the metal crown for a unique code. Customers should SMS this code to 40111 for a chance to win. The promotion includes a wide range of Coca-Cola products, including various Fanta brands, Sprite, Krest, Stoney, and Schweppes.

By offering such substantial rewards, Coca-Cola aims to bring joy and financial relief to millions of Kenyans.
