Nakumatt Holdings Regional Operations and Strategy Director Thiagarajan Ramamurthy has been nominated to address a forthcoming continental trade forum organised by The Economist Events, next week.
Mr Ramamurthy, who is also a Fellow of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK), will address the high level forum on 17th November dubbed, “Growth Crossings: Africa’s Role”. It will explore Africa’s role in global supply chains.
During the one day event to be held on Tuesday next week at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, Hotel, Nairobi, Mr Ramamurthy, will participate in a panel session chaired and moderated by The Economist Africa Editor, Mr. Jonathan Rosenthal. The session titled, Viewpoints from business: The opportunities and limitations of procuring from Africa, will, examine the challenges and opportunities of building supply chain infrastructure in Africa.
“At Nakumatt, we welcome such thought leadership forums which can help explore potential solutions to some of the problems limiting retail growth across sub-Sahara Africa and beyond,” Ramamurthy said.
Other speakers listed for the Forum, include Standard Chartered Bank’s Senior Economist, Madhur Jha, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Trade Policy Expert, Helen Kenani and The Coca-Cola Company, General Manager, East Africa, Peter Njonjo, among others.
