Maina Kageni, the popular Classic 105 FM breakfast presenter, underwent surgery on Monday night after an injury he sustained in a road accident.

Maina, who has been missing on his morning show for the last two days, is said to have injured his leg on Sunday during his Tembea Kenya road trip in Kajiado. After visiting the doctors, it was recommended that the presenter undergoes surgery.

“Surgery scheduled for tonight at 8pm…. Nitakie mema tafadhali…. But I’ll be out of here tomorrow… I’m a ninja like that!!!!!! Have a great afternoon….” he posted on Monday afternoon.

Maina suffered a knee injury when his slipped and twisted his foot. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) showed damaged ligaments which needed surgical correction. He will be away from his show for a while as he recuperates. Previously, it had been announced that the presenter had missed a flight and that’s why he had missed his popular breakfast show.
