KQ moves all international flights to Terminal 1A

National carrier Kenya Airways has moved all its international flights to Terminal 1A at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

80% of all International flights migrated to the new Terminal 1A, in 2014, while the other 20% flights to West Africa and Central Africa remained in Terminal 1C.

The airport has been undergoing structural developments to ease congestion at the busy terminals. Last week Kenya Airports Authority MD Lucy Mbugua unveiled a new terminal (Terminal 2) that can accommodate 2.5 million passengers per annum to ease congestion at Terminal 1A.

Flights to Douala, Lubumbashi, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Accra, Abidjan, Bamako, Abuja, Lagos and Dakar will now depart from Terminal 1A. Meanwhile domestic flights remain in Terminal 1D.
