SportPesa has partnered with Kenya Airways and the Kenya Tourism Board in support of All-Stars team that will be travelling to England on Wednesday February 22nd this year for the English Premier Soccer friendly match.
The match scheduled for 27th February next week at KCOM Stadium in the UK will see the English Premier Club team return for an away match in Kenya. Speaking at Kasarani Safaricom Stadium, SportPesa Chief Executive Officer Ronald Karauri said the friendly match will provide an opportunity for Kenya to market herself in Africa as the match will be televised in the entire region through Supersport.
“This is just a beginning of the vision which will see our country taking part in the 2022 world cup to be held in Qatar,” Karauri added.
Kenya Airways Marketing Director Chris Diaz said the event is a wake-up call for business opportunities globally, adding that Kenya Airways will take advantage of the match to brand and promote the players.
Kenya Tourism Board CEO Betty Radier said Public Private Partnership brings together stakeholders with different skills and resources, a move she said helps to improve the attractiveness of a regional destination, productivity and the overall management of tourism.
The SportPesa friendly match is an achievement of the 2016 strategy by SportPesa to enter into international partnerships exposing Kenyan football talents in the global scene.
