Kenya Airways Cargo has cemented its position as a leading player in air cargo industry in Africa by winning the Best African Airline category for the third year running at the Air Cargo News Cargo Airline of the Year awards 2015.

The award comes barely two months after KQ cargo was voted African Cargo Airline of the Year at the 3rd biennial Air Cargo Africa event organized by STAT Trade Times and held in Johannesburg, South Africa in February this year.

Worldwide readers of Air Cargo News, the cargo industry’s leading publication, voted Kenya Airways top in service excellence, reliability and sustainable performance in moving cargo to and from the African region.

Kenya Airways Katrina Hanson accepted the Award on behalf of KQ Cargo during a gala dinner attended by more than 400 people in Lancaster London Hotel in the UK. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at KQ Cargo. We are delighted and honoured that we have been voted the best in Africa by our customers for the third year running.” Said KQ Cargo General Manager, Dick Murianki.

“We aim to support the growing demand for air cargo business in Africa with enhanced levels of connectivity, flexibility, reliability as well as providing quality innovation solutions with a relentless focus on improving service to our customers.”

The African continent remains a key market for KQ Cargo with a huge trading potential especially with Kenya Airways’ expansive Asian network. Kenya Airways new route to Hanoi in Vietnam is expected to buoy the cargo traffic as the airline becomes the first to connect Africa to the Asian tiger nation.  With its continually growing network and fleet expansion, KQ Cargo is set to offer enhanced levels of connectivity, flexibility and reliability to its cargo customers across Africa, Asian and Europe.
