Kakamega police officer accidentally shoots female colleage dead

A female Administration Police constable in Kakamega County succumbed to gun shot wounds inflicted on her by her male colleague accidentally while the two officers were arrestin a suspect.

The two police officers had reportedly gone to a home in Mukumu to arrest a man who had assaulted his father when the tragic incident occurred yesterday.  It is said that the suspect ambushed the police officers with a machete and as the male officer tried to confront him, he shot his colleague in the process.

According to Citizen TV,  the female police was allegedly making the arrest when the bullets caught her.
