Samsung Electronics East Africa will Thursday morning launch the most-talked about Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge models in Nairobi, ending speculations about delays and expected shortages.
The Samsung local office describes the phones as “most innovative, re-defined and high performance.” The model was voted the best Mobile gadget at the Mobile World Congress 2015. The breakfast launch will be at Sankara Hotel, Woodvale Gardens.
The event, to be held at Sankara Hotel from 7.30am, will be graced by Samsung Electronics East Africa Managing Director John Park, Vice President and COO Robert Ngeru and Simon Njogu, the Samsung Mobile business lead for East Africa.
Last week, on April 10, Samsung officially released its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in various markets around the world, and expectations were already set high. Korean publication Yonhap News has it that, until now, Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sales “have been much higher than expected.” Reportedly, an industry official declared that sales in South Korea reached an “all-time high” compared to previous Galaxy S models.
So will it soar in Kenya as well? Your bet is as good as mine. With pre-orders already being processed, expect a scramble.
