Edith Kimani leaves KTN for Deutsche Welle TV

Television news anchor Edith Kimani, has left KTN for German international TV station, Deutsche Welle TV (DW-TV). The talented journalist who joined Standard Group after winning The Presenter Season 1 will be DW-TV East African correspondent. A farewell party was held for her where she broke down in tears after receiving messages from her colleagues. Edith doubled as an anchor and reporter and will be remembered for steering her own show, On The Record. She joins a growing number of local female journalists who have been poached by international TV stations including Anne Soi (BBC), Penina Karibe (CCTV) and Zain Verjee (CNN), among others.
