Royal Media Services has poached a top broadcast journalist from Nation Media Group. Robin Njogu, who was head of radio managing both Nation FM and QTV, has joined the biggest broadcast house in Kenya to manage Royal Media’s stable of radio stations.

RMS offered a salary increase for Njogu and a bigger role of managing over 14 radio stations spread across the country. They include the hugely popular Radio Citizen and numerous vernacular radio stations. Njogu joined NMG in 2012 from Capital FM, where he was News Editor. NMG is yet to name a replacement for him.

Meanwhile, QFM news editor Miswaleh Zingizi has quit under controversial circumstances. It is said she was frustrated by his boss.
