Weetabix invests Ksh160m in Kenyan plant

Weetabix celebrated its 40th year in Kenya on 7th October 2015 at a reception dinner at the Villa Rosa Kempinski, where it hosted a special delegation of investors from Bright Foods Group led by their Chairman Yong Jie Lyu, Baring Private Equity- Asia and Weetabix Food Company CEO Giles Turell amongst other global company leadership luminaries.

The delegation unveiled the company’s recent investment at the Nairobi Plant during a factory tour where they renewed their commitment to investing in Kenya.   This ceremony also marked the formal unveiling of a £1.6 Million (Ksh160 Million) project aimed to modernize the Weetabix Plant which will in turn increase the production capacity by 60%. The dinner was also an opportunity for Weetabix to recognise and appreciate their key stakeholders, including government, agency partners, suppliers and retail partners.
