Allan Ojango, a second year mechanical engineering diploma student, is the first winner in the ongoing Lumia #MakeitHappenEA online consumer campaign.
Launched in January 2015, the #MakeItHappenEA aims to empower customers to share their life long desires, and four lucky winners will be selected to get a rare opportunity of bringing their dreams to life.
Mr Ojango, who learnt about the campaign from the Microsoft Lumia East Africa Facebook page and bought the Lumia 535, couldn’t be more excited at the prospects of having his life-long dream brought to life by Microsoft. “I’ve always wanted to be a photographer but the cost of equipment and classes has been a hindrance. I used to take photos with my Lumia 530 and now Lumia 535 but the #MakeitHappenEA campaign has literally changed by life,” he said.
Microsoft Mobile Devices will make Allan’s dream come true by purchasing decent starter photography equipment, enroll him into a photography class and provide a day of mentorship for him with an acclaimed Kenyan photographer.
