72-year-old Kisumu farmer wins Gotv’s Ksh1 million

Samuel Guya, a 72-year-old farmer from Kisumu is the eleventh Dunga Milli Mashinani winner. He is the second last winner of the campaign which ends next week.

Mr Guya said he will be able to watch the Lolwe TV station that broadcasts in Dholuo. “Previously, it had been difficult to understand the Swahili news since much of it has very deep Swahili words. But with GOtv, I now have access to news that is relayed in a language I understand. I urge other Kenyans to experience the digital migration with GOtv and especially before the ‘Dunga Milli Mashinani’ competition comes to a close.”

Mr. Guya intends to venture into real estate by constructing residential houses in Kisumu. He will also use part of the money to support her 25-year old daughter’s tertiary education.

Speaking at the event GOtv Kenya General Manager Felix Kyengo asked more people take advantage of the Ksh1399 Dunga Milli deal this coming week. “We will be in Western Kenya from June 4th, 2015 with the NMG-GOtv caravan. We urge the people of Western Kenya to visit the caravan and go digital with GOtv. We have the best and widest variety programming on offer at the most affordable rate in the market and each week we make one Kenyan a millionaire.”

Gotv decoders will for the next one week only retail at only Ksh1, 399, including two months GOtv Plus subscription and this will be the last week GOtv subscribers will be rewarded with a million shillings and daily prizes of Ksh15,000, mobile phone airtime and annual GOtv subscriptions.
