Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati has ordered the immediate suspension of ICT Director James Muhati and two staff members over malpractises reported during transmission of the results of the August 8 presidential election.

In yet another explosive internal memo to CEO Ezra Chiloba, Chebukati says Muhati, Paul Mugo (ICT Coordinator) and Boniface Wamae (ICT Officer) failed to deliver their mandate in the August 8 General Election.

  • The IEBC Chair is realising almost too late that he has a responsibility to clean up the mess. It is all about honour and duty and not pandering to the whims of sore politicians. Anyone who did not perform up to expectation should be shown the nearest door plain and simple. It is time to put matters right in this country.
