Kenyans have reacted positively to the wealth declaration by Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore. The CEO says he is worth Ksh277 million and earned Ksh110 million as salary for he last one year. Here is what Kenyans are saying about this on Facebook:

@Tom Osanjo Clearly, the word ONLY is misused.

@Robin Njogu Yes, ONLY… for a company with a market capitalisation of Sh700 billion, which is now almost as big as the next four largest listed companies combined: EABL (Sh257 billion), KCB (Sh180 billion), Equity Group (Sh174 billion) and Co-operative Bank (Sh107 billion).

@Eric Nyamu Only got a new meaning. Hope oxford dic is watching.

@Mark Mbuthia Wakaba Its ok,..now everybody go back to what u do,..whether he earns Ksh100 or 10million,..it doesnt change the price of bread in your house

@Tony Ontita While I was off FB for a few hours to earn bread, Bob Collymore apparently came out to sema he’s worth two hundred M and takes home ten M monthly in bacon. What I am wondering is – why is this all of a sudden a trending topic among some Kenyans? I personally know three Shs 200 M folks – him, Mike Macharia and James Mworia -, and the three gentlemen don’t go around handing out random Shs 200 notes to folks – (although Mike once bought me a Ciroc vodo in Gypsy’s or Rezorus back in sijui two-oh-seven, sikumbuki!). Whether a ‘stranger’ takes home ten M, or a hundred K, or ten gees, now how does that saidia us?

@Mercy Kamau In a country steeped in below one dollar a day kinda poverty, that is awesome amaaaaazing,,,,…and the fact that there are still people who go to bed on a glass of water which they have bought at 20 bob per mtungi.
