Former Royal Media Services (RMS) editorial consultant Peter Opondo has dismissed reports he had been offered a  job by Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney. Sources had intimated to Business Today, that Karoney, a former Chief Operating Officer at RMS, had tapped Opondo and former Managing Editor Nixon Nganga, who also resigned last month, to work with her at Ardhi House, possibly as communications advisors.

But Opondo says he has never solicited nor been offered a government job, adding his focus is 100% elsewhere. “For those calling, inquiring & even congratulating me for a supposed move to Ardi Hse, thanks for best wishes, but no thanks! I’ve neither solicited nor been offered a govt job. My focus at the moment is 100% elsewhere,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

In recent posts on Facebook, the former Mediamax Network Group Managing Editor has been highlighting progress he is making in constructing a mansion in his rural home as well as baby steps towards a greenhouse farming project describing them as retirement goals.

Other sources, however, indicated he could make a return to DMS Place, the Mediamax headquarters, to head the company’s editorial function, though others say he is looking into to venture into private business.
