Kenya Airways in collaboration with Brazilian aerospace firm, Embraer S.A. on Wednesday showcased the capabilities of Embraer passenger jet, the E190-E2. The E190 Advanced Range (AR) aircraft from Embraer‘s factory in San Jose Dos Campos, Brazil, joins the existing fleet of Embraer 190, making it the largest E190 operator in Africa.
E-jet E190-E2 is a medium-range jet airliner developed by Embraer, succeeding the original E-Jet. It was first launched during the Paris Air Show in 2013.
Speaking during the Embraer demo and static display ceremony in Nairobi, Embraer’s VP for Sales and Marketing Africa and Middle East Raul Villaron stated that the debut of E190-E2 in Nairobi is a great achievement that confirms the relationship with the Kenyan Airways. He also indicated that the Jet is the world’s fastest and the most efficient passenger airline.

It cuts fuel burn by more than 17 per cent and is the quickest passenger jet in the world today, both inside the cabin and out delivering significant cost efficiencies for airlines and an improved passenger,” he stated.
Besides improved comfort with more shoulder room, the E190 will offer state of the art in-flight entertainment technology.
