Michael Wanjala and Herman Humwa have linked up with Shujaa ahead of the last leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series, the Paris 7s.

The two replaced injured Daniel Sikuta and Daniel Taabu who flew back home on Monday evening from London. Shujaa is in Pool B alongside Australia, South Africa and Wales. The Paris 7s leg is the most crucial one for the team as they are fighting to survive relegation from the World Sevens Series.

Captain Jacob Ojee reckoned that they’re a few areas that the team needs to polish on as they prepare for the Paris.

“Our restarts in London were good but we can definitely make them better and also improve on our defensive shape for an improved performance,” added Ojee.

Shujaa will kick off their campaign at 1:06pm against Australia, at 4:10pm Shujaa will face South Africa before wrapping up their day one against Wales at 7:36pm.

Shujaa is currently ranked 14th on the Series table with 27 points, two above the 15th placed Japan and three behind 13th placed Wales. The team is receiving a lot of support as they head into this tournament through the #KeepTheDreamAlive and #ForShujaa Hashtags from fans and local teams.
