Veteran business journalist and news anchor Terryanne Chebet is set for a return to the screen. Chebet has joined business channel CNBC Africa as a senior correspondent. She will also double up as the business development lead.
It will be her second stint at CNBC Africa, where she worked as a reporter and producer between 2007 and 2010.
The entrepreneur and communications expert has worked in several media and marketing roles over the past two decades, including General Manager at Metropol TV, one of Kenya’s first business stations, and anchor at Citizen TV. After Citizen, she worked at CGTN Africa as a Business News Anchor between November 2011 and February 2013.
She also had a stint as CEO of business TV station Fanaka TV. Chebet is also the founder of skincare brand Keyara Botanics, and previously served as Head of Communications for The Pink Foundry – a women-focused marketing agency.

Between 2002 and 2007, she cut her teeth at the national broadcaster KBC as an anchor, producer and director. She also featured as an actress for theatre group Phoenix Players among other roles.
Chebet is considered one of the country’s top business journalists. CNBC Africa is headquartered in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Founded in 2007 by Rakesh Wahi and Zafar Siddiqi, it is produced under license from CNBC International. It’s programming includes content from CNBC affiliates from around the world – including US, Europe, the Middle East, India and Pakistan.
